Super Shears in Millington will give you a bad haircut that is totally not what you asked for and then tell you there is nothing that they can do about it. They will also allow their stylist to talk down to you during the cut and make you feel like a second class citizen. I have a regular stylist who is amazing and I wish I'd never let anyone else touch it...especially the woman at Super Shears.
First of all, when I walked in I brought in the amount of cash that I thought I'd need and was surprised that I needed more. I said something about having to go back out for more money bc I thought it was less. (Not a complaint or saying I can't afford it)
I came back in and the woman started to get ready to cut without asking me if I wanted it shampooed and styled (I always want that). I asked and she said that I was already struggling to pay so she didn't ask bc it cost more. Really?!?!? I was not struggling to pay unless going to the car for more is a struggle these days. The kicker...I asked how much more and it was only $2.00!!! She "assumed" I didn't have two more dollars!!!
She then proceeded to make me tell me I had to lose at least 2 inches because of damage. I felt pressured so I let her do it but the cut is not done the way I asked and is not well done. The layers look sub par and the bangs she gave me are the worst. They don't work with the cut and they are too short. One second they were touching under my eyes and the next they were barely over my eyebrows. I said just a little shorter. So she flat ironed them and then cut them. When they start to curl they pull up above my eyebrows.
Oh, also...during the cut I was starting to get nervous from what she was doing and I was not liking it and I began to feel my anxiety getting bad.
She then asked me if I was "going to have a panic attack." I told her I might be. That's when she said "it's just hair it'll grow back."
Really!?!?!?
When she finished I didn't like it at all but I tried to contain myself. I paid reluctantly and yes I tipped but less than normal (I wouldn't want to be totally rude even though she ruined my hair) and went to the car to attempt to calm down. I quickly realized I couldn't deal with it and that I really hated it and began to cry. I worked up the nerve to go tell them expecting an apology and refund. No such luck.
They told me that I couldn't get my money back and that it's "not like it was a bad cut." (It is. I literally could have cut these bangs myself and the bottom of my hair has a lot of the sophisticated layering...its "layers" look awful.)
I attempted to find a corporate number but there isn't one. I called the store and they took my name and number and said they'd get the manager to call me. I gave her a whole week and no call. Today I called back and was told that the manager had said that the only thing she could do would be give me half off the next time I go there! What next time!!!?!? I'm never going there ever again. This manager/owner "can't" give me my money.
So unless you want a horrible haircut, to feel belittled, and to pay for it...don't go to Super Shears. A rock could easily beat those scissors.
I. Want. My. Money. Back.
Satisfy your customer Super Shears. Return my money. Next stop BBB. Then the news (because my panic disorder isn't a joke)
