I would give negative 5 stars if i could. I was planning a honeymoon and at first the travel agent was nice and friendly and show me plenty of options for what i was looking for. When i finally decided on a location i did a quick google search and found the same resort for the same dates i wanted to stay for $700 cheaper. I understand they make their money by commission but you have to keep them honest. The travel agent did work with me and changed the airline she originally had quoted and was able to match the price i found on google. After everything was finalized and paid for the agent said she would email me the travel documents when it got closer to time. Well that is when everything went SOUTH. It was a week before the wedding/honeymoon (got married on Saturday and Monday at 6 am was the first flight to D.R.) and still had not gotten and email phone call or anything concerning the travel documents. I understand people get busy, so my fiance emailed our agent about the documents and she said she would drop them in the mail ( email was sent on Monday, Tuesday when she replied and wanted to verify the address to mail the documents) by the time it was Friday we still have not received the documents. So we were freaking out a bit as you can imagine i just $5000 for a honeymoon and have no documents to show for it. I recalled that every email we had back and forth, (over 20) that she would never return an e mail after business hours, which is understandable but this was a bit of emergency. So i took the effort and look up the agent of Facebook on Saturday morning ( the day of my WEDDING mind you) and sent her a message explaining we have not received the documents and the trip was less than 48 hours away. She then responded via the email chain we been communicating with originally and said " OH Man! they haven't arrived yet? I'll stop by the office today or tomorrow and email the documents to you" why couldn't she have emailed them in the first place is the first question i had. anyways i digress. Sunday morning had arrived and still no documents it wasn't until 4 pm, 14 hours until take off, that i finally received an email with the documents with her explanation that she could not sent them on Saturday because she was throwing her best friend a birthday party. can you believe it? So the whole time i was trying to enjoy my wedding day i was having to stress about the honeymoon, which should have not have been a stress at all because i hired a travel agent to stress for me. that was not the case here so she waited til late Sunday after noon to send the documents. After reviewing the documents i noticed it was missing a romantic dinner on the beach followed by a romantic bath and also missing a couple of massages that were included in the original quote that i agreed to. the resort wanted another $400 for these activities which i decline because i felt like i have already paid for them once. Completely Unprofessional!!! To put the icing on this cake i still have not received any mail from this agency. Makes you wonder if she ever mailed them. I would never recommend using a Travel Agent. they are a dying breed anyways.
