I ordered 1.25 yards of concrete to be placed in a patio. Having a degree in mechanical engineering, I knew that this was 10% more than I needed but left room for error. The gentleman that showed up was polite but ended up shooting several cubic feet of concrete outside my form into the dirt. He poured 80% of the slab and said he was out. This was approximately 1 yard of material at this point. I paused a second to think while the delivery guy pulled out his phone and told the problem to his superiors. He then said that another truck was on its way with a yard of product. He said that was the minimum and it would be an additional $110. Something which I never agreed to, as I could have finished the rest with Quikrete.
There are very few industries in which you can sell someone something without them requesting or wanting it. I was swindled by being short changed on my first order so that the delivery man can order a second on my behalf? Does this sound ethical? I think not. I only paid them because I did not have time to argue, the concrete needed to be worked. This is taking advantage of people at its finest. If they were listed in the BBB directory I would report them.
Spend your money elsewhere, they may have a higher minimum load fee but it would be impossible for them to screw you as bad as these guys had me.
