I went in to drop off a cat. They told me because the animal was a stray they would neuter the animal and release it. I informed later that day that the animal indeed came from a home and was not a simple stray. I will say, I didn't think to get the owners credentials, so that's on me. However, I was informed that they would still drop the cat off in the neighborhood. I asked if it was all right for me to pick it up instead, and was told no.
So, in short, the organization plans to abandon an animal out on the streets, but won't allow anyone but the owner to pick up the animal. Brilliant!
