Holiday Inn Express & Suites Memphis Arpt Elvis Presley Blv

Very Nice Brand New Holiday Inn Express. We didn't think we would need a reservation for a hotel when we got to Memphis. We were wrong. Drove up and down Elvis Presley Blvd but kept coming across not so clean and definitely not safe looking places. Then we saw it! The holiday inn Express sitting off the road some, lit up all bright with cameras all over the building. Never been happier to see a name brand named hotel we knew. Only to find out they weren't even open for business yet. It was Wednesday.. and we were told they didn't open till friday April 13th. Our Luck. The owner, Sam, was there. Sam seemed to feel our struggle once I explained our disappoinment and why....and let us stay anyway... Just so as long as we understoof they were only 97% of the way there and not all the amenities like the guitar shaped pool were open yet. No problem. We just wanted safe and clean and we got that and then some. 5 stars for the hotel and 5.5 for it's owner and management. Thanks u very much guys! We'll be back!
