Hawkins Homes is AWFUL! I regret to say we bought a home with them and have been so disappointed that I am already looking forward to leaving, hoping we can sell the crappy home they built. This company only cares about making money, is sleazy, and it is evident in the terribly quality of their homes. To be specific, since moving in we have found backward tiles in the kitchen back-splash, walls painted in a matte paint that are terrible to maintain (all the neighbors hate them as well), unpolished areas, wet areas that were not calked, lots of nails left on the roof rusting shingles, cigarette buts and trash in crawl spaces next to the play-room, and the worst is the textured ceilings that were done so poorly another company told us they would have walked right out and never bought the home (we didn't know better). When their "professional" contractors, one of which drives a Krispy Kreme truck, have come to "fix" their original issues, they just make things worse EVERY SINGLE TIME. When we pointed out things at the walk-though, they said they would fix them and that they were "normal". Two months later and our home is still a disaster. They have been awful to work with, schedule and make things right, even after we have been gracious in giving them many opportunities to do so. DO NOT BUY WITH THIS COMPANY! I wish someone would have warrened us and hope this review gives you the courage NOT to buy a Hawkins Home!
