House is fairly new however builder used asphalt shingles on a 1/12 slope section of our roof. After Harvey came through town there was a fair amount of damage to our city from 10 inches of water in such a short amount of time. While we weathered this storm it was a good reminder that such a flat section of traditional shingles was likely nearing end of life. Don Kennedy isn't cheap and they are not the type of company that hires a bunch of general contractors to be at your door that day to redo your roof. What they will do is come very quickly and get a tarp over damaged areas and then they will come as quick as possible to do a quality job. Between the material chosen combined with my house not requiring immediate triage we were scheduled for approximately four weeks out. The team did a very professional job on the install and made sure everything was exactly right prior to leaving and I am very pleased with the finished result. Hopefully I will not require additional roofing repairs for many years but after my experience with Don Kennedy I would definitely use them in the future should the need arise.
