My husband had surgery there today. Everything went great and the staff was great. Except one nurse. She was the preop nurse who brought my husband back. Extremely rude and condescending. IV line was FULL of air. I am a nursing student so I called her out on it. Basically talked to me like I was stupid. I know that most nurses leave a little air in the line but it was FULL. She wasn’t paying attention and the drip chamber flipped up which caused all the air. She primed the tubing AFTER she had already started it and I had said something to her. She was not happy. Just a horrible excuse for a nurse. She went on to tell me she is getting her masters in psychology, I feel so sorry for any psych patients she ever sees. I am sure she will treat them all like it’s in their head. Nurses like her ruin your whole first impression, maybe you guys should switch her to preop so your patients don’t want to go running out the door as soon as they get there.
